Helium Mobile Acquired By Noble Mobile As DePIN Coverage Expands

Noble Mobile acquires Helium Mobilegiving Andrew Yang’s wireless carrier control of one of cryptocurrency’s most visible consumer DePIN products while keeping the Helium network within the service.

The deal also brings Noble Mobile to the Helium network. This means Noble subscribers will have access to Helium-powered wireless coverage across the United States, expanding the network’s role beyond Helium Mobile’s own customer base.

Existing Helium Mobile subscribers are not forced into a disruptive migration. Phone numbers, service, SIM setup, Helium Mobile app and current coverage are set to stay in place. Subscribers will continue to use the same nationwide 5G and Helium network coverage they already have, while support remains available through existing Helium Mobile channels.

The Helium Mobile brand also remains alive at the moment. MOBILE and HNT tokens will still be supported within the Helium Mobile app, while Cloud Points will remain redeemable in the Cloud Store.

Helium moves from the carrier brand to the network platform

The most important part of the deal is what it says about the next stage of helium.

Helium Mobile has proven that a consumer phone plan can run alongside a decentralized wireless network. The acquisition now moves the consumer-carrier relationship into Noble Mobile’s hands while the Helium team focuses more directly on the network platform underneath.

This is important because Helium’s long-term value is not limited to just selling phone plans. It makes carriers, applications and connected services use helium coverage as part of their connectivity stack. Noble Mobile joining the network gives Helium another distribution path and a greater role as a shared wireless infrastructure.

The network actually reaches far beyond its mobile plan. Helium says its people-powered coverage helps carry traffic for millions of people across the U.S. and Mexico every day, including users of major carriers who may not know their traffic is touching Helium’s infrastructure.

This is DePIN’s thesis in practical form. The premium incentive tier rewards people and companies that provide beneficial coverage. Carriers and services can then use this coverage without building each tower, connection point or offloading point themselves.

Noble gets a cheaper connection story

Noble Mobile launched in 2025 with a different consumer offering: a wireless carrier that pays users to use less data. The model fits Helium Mobile’s affordability angle because both brands are built on lowering the cost of staying connected.

Through the acquisition, Noble gains more than just a customer base. It gets a native encrypted wireless product, existing shared transmission, and access to a decentralized overlay layer that can back up its bid against larger carriers.

The deal also gives Helium a cleaner path into mainstream communications. DePIN projects often face difficulties because they need both sides of the market to work: people must deploy the devices, and real customers must use the infrastructure. Helium has spent years building the supply side through hotspots and the demand side by offloading carriers, mobile plans and network partnerships.

Noble Mobile is now another ordering channel. If the company can increase the number of subscribers and retain them Helium Active coverage in the background, the network gets more real usage rather than just listing cryptocurrencies.

Subscribers get continuity, and the network gets distribution

The immediate message for Helium Mobile users is stability. Do not change the number. There is no new application. There is no new SIM card. No missing coverage. No action is required now. Plan and pricing updates are expected to come later as the transition develops, but the current promise is continuity.

The biggest market point is distribution. Helium Mobile was a proof of concept for a decentralized wireless carrier. Noble Mobile can now turn this into a broader consumer product while Helium is focused on becoming an infrastructure for any carrier or connected service that wants cheaper and flexible coverage.

Helium acquisition gives a cleaner story at the exact point where Deepin It needs more demand in the real world. If Noble adds subscribers and maintains routing coverage via Helium, the network will get the metric that matters most: actual phone traffic moving through the decentralized infrastructure, not just rolling out other devices that rely on the token.
