New Delhi, October 31 (KNN) The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has unveiled the ‘Aadhaar Vision 2032’ framework to guide the next phase of the evolution of Aadhaar and India’s future-proof digital identity infrastructure.
The roadmap aims to strengthen Aadhaar’s technology foundation, integrate emerging digital innovations, and enhance the system’s flexibility, inclusion and security as India’s digital economy continues to grow.
The effort reflects the need to adapt to the rapidly changing technological and regulatory landscape, including the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, UIDAI said.
To guide this initiative, UIDAI has set up a high-level expert committee headed by Neelkanth Mishra, Chairman, UIDAI.
The panel includes leading technologists, legal experts and academics such as UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar, Sarvam AI co-founder Vivek Raghavan, Nutanix founder Dheeraj Pandey, MOSIP engineering chief Sasikumar Ganesan, tri-partner Rahul Mathan, and other leading professionals in the field of data security and identity technology.
The committee will draft the Aadhaar 2032 Vision Document, which sets out the framework for the next generation Aadhaar architecture and its alignment with global privacy and cybersecurity standards.
Key areas of focus include the deployment of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, quantum computing, encryption systems and enhanced data security, ensuring the platform remains scalable, secure and adaptable to future digital challenges.
UIDAI said Vision 2032 aims to position Aadhaar as a secure, citizen-centric identity platform that will continue to drive India’s digital governance and service delivery ecosystem over the next decade.
