The CEO of Openai Sam Altman announced today that GPT-4.5 will be launched for Plus Tier subscribers next week, describing it as “the first model that seems to be speaking to a thoughtful person.”

The timing of the launch is restricted by the availability of GPU, as Altman indicated that Openai “is outside the graphics processing units” due to high growth.

The company plans to add “tens of thousands of graphics processing units next week” to support the Plus Tier, with “hundreds of thousands soon”.

“This is not the way we want to work, but it is very difficult to predict growth that leads to a lack of graphics processing unit,” Germans said in a post on social media.

Although the GPT-4.5 will not “crush the standards”, Altman stressed that it represents a “different kind of intelligence” with unique quality. “There is its magic that I have not felt before,” he said.

The version is in line with Openai previously Declare Road map, which has developed GPT-4.5 (called Orion internally) as a club “The last unlawful model for the company.

“The plan includes unifying different Openai models later under GPT-5, which will merge multiple technologies and provide graded access levels through free subscriptions, as well as Pro,”
