IoTeX, a company building a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN), and Eliza Labs, developer of the AI agent project ai16z, announced a strategic partnership on the 9th (local time).

Through this partnership, the two companies aim to accelerate the development of sensory AI agents by bridging the gap between digital intelligence and real-world sensing and interaction.

By integrating IoTeX’s modular DePIN infrastructure with ElizaOS, AI agents will be able to use real-time data from the DePIN network and control physical devices in a distributed environment. This will enable AI agents to evolve from simple static objects to adaptable, context-aware entities that interact with the surrounding world.

IoTeX and Eliza Labs will start a series of PoCs to support the DePIN network in acting as a neural network for AI agents. This will provide developers, researchers and users with state-of-the-art tools and real-world applications.

Future collaborations will include integrating DePIN plugins for ElizaOS, developing the first DePIN-based AI agent, BINOAI, enhancing agent situational awareness using DePIN data and services, and expanding the developer ecosystem.

“By expanding the boundaries of AI agent innovation, we will support developers and communities in exploring engagement opportunities and usher in a new era where AI agents become companions that perceive, learn and act in the physical world through the integration of the DePIN plug-in and BINOAI development,” the companies said.
