Kane, N.H (Mayken Now) WKBK News Radio brought a new voice to the morning lineup with the September hiring of John Dibben, a recent journalism graduate who takes on his first professional role in the newsroom. Depin now anchors the station’s morning drive-thru newscasts, providing live updates on local, regional and national headlines, as well as weather, traffic and breaking developments to help listeners start their day informed.

Debben, a 2025 graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst School of Journalism, comes to Kean with a strong background in reporting and editorial leadership. At UMass Amherst, he worked as a writer and later managing editor of the Massachusetts Daily Collegian, the university’s student-run newspaper.

Dibben, who joined Monadnock Media Group in September, said he was excited to begin his career in the region’s most prominent radio newsroom and take on the challenge of broadcasting – a new field for him.

Originally from Dennis on Cape Cod, Debben spent several years working at Dennis Public Market as a deli employee and wholesale delivery driver before pursuing a full-time career in journalism. He jokes that he’s glad to put the days of maneuvering oversized refrigerated trucks behind him.

Depin can be heard weekday mornings on WKBK AM 1290 and 94.1 FM.
